I was able to check into my hotel early, at 10 AM, to catch about 4 hours of sleep before I went exploring. I walked a long way (22,000 steps according to my device) and saw Parnell Sq., Temple Bar, St Stevens Green, and a number of pubs along the way! 🙂
Some observations: The people are very friendly and approachable; there are lots of smokers in Ireland; the pit bull seems to be the pet of choice for many; the music is everywhere and it is great; there is a lot of excitement for the European soccer championships with Ireland needing a win over Belgium Saturday to reach the field of 16.
